RAMAC Swimmers tackle top cup!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Top Cup Swimmers! Our young swimmers had a terrific experience! We had several swimmers in the top ten – way to go!

 8 and Under :

Nadine Pigida : 1 st in 100 fly; 6 th in 100 back and 50 fly; 7 th in 50 free; 8 th in 200 back and 200 free; 9 th in 100 free.

Philip Sanzarevsky : 6 th in 50 back and 100 fly; 8 th in 50 free and 50 fly.

9 Year Olds:

Maxim Iassinovski: 9 th in 50 breast.

Phillip Khmelevskikh: 10 th in 50 breast.

10 Year Olds :

Victoria Sanzarevsky: 1 st in 50 breast and 100 breast; 3 rd in 200 breast; 4 th in 100 back; 5 th in 50 back and 50 fly; 6 th in 50 free; 7 th in 100 fly; and 10 th in 100 free.

Storm Through Steeltown

RAMAC swimmers made waves at their second long course meet of the season, the HHBF LC Spring Invitational hosted by the Halton Hills Blue Fins - May 04, 2012-May 06.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Swimmers who Achieved Provincial and Age Group National Standards:

*** Ivan Sobolev earned a Provincial Time in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and an Age Group National Time of 1:13.28 in the 100 breaststroke!

*** Sophia Witterick Laskin earned a 13 year-old Provincial Time in the 100 breaststroke and a 12 year-old Provincial Time in the 200 breaststroke!

*** Alexandra Koch-Fitsialos and Christiane Konstantopoulos beat the 12-year old Provincial Time Standard in the 100 butterfly!

*** Kristi Grillo achieved 11 year-old Provincial Times in the 100 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly.

Kristi Grillo : 1 st in 100 free (1:06.61) , 400 free (5:23.17), 100 breast (1:33.83), 200 breast (3:18.13), 100 fly (1:24.71); 2 nd in 800 free (11:28.37)

Cooper Lochrie : 1st in 100 back (1:26.51), 200 back (2:56.09), 200 IM (3:08.59); 2 nd in 100 fly (1:33:87); 3 rd in 400 free (5:42.72) and 800 free (11:43.78).

12 Year Old Males

Victor Sanzarevsky : 1 st in 200 breast (3:06:99) and 200 IM (2:51.66); 2 nd in 100 free (1:09:63), 100 breast (1:27:58); 3 rd in 400 free (5:31:36) and 100 fly (1:28:91).

Yotam Berkovich: 1 st in 200 back (2:52:88) and 800 free (11:07:99); 2 nd in 400 free (5:28:31) and 100 back (1:25:77).

Gleb Smorchkov: 1 st in 100 fly (1:27:17) and 200 fly (3:19:66).

13 Year Old Males

Nikita Lizogubenko: 2 nd in 100 free (1:05:56); 3 rd in 400 free (5:09:33), 200 back (2:49:92) and 200 IM (2:50:36).

14 Year Old Males

Michael Konstantopoulos: 1 st in 200 breast (2:52:68); 2 nd in 400 free (5:00:78), 100 breast (1:20:82) and 200 IM (2:40:79).

15-16 Year Old Males

Ivan Sobolev: 1 st in 100 breast (1:13:28) and 200 breast (2:41:55).

Dmitri Veikhman: 2 nd in 100 free (59:52) and 3 rd in 100 fly (1;10:40).

Simon Oukhine: 2 nd in 100 free (1:01.15).

12 Year Old Females

Alexandra Koch-Fitsialos: 1 st in 100 free (1:08:22), 400 free (5:13:10), 100 back (1:21:76), 200 fly (3:01:79), 100 fly (1:15:79), and 200 IM (247:76); 2 nd in 1500 free (20:41:81).

Sophia Witterick-Laskin 1 st in the 100 breast (1:23:76) and 200 breast (3:02:01); 3 rd in the 100 free (1:11:36) and the 800 free (11:28:27) .

 13 & Over Females

Christiane Konstantopoulos : 1 st in 100 free (1:07:69), 100 fly (1;14:05), 400 free (5:10:92), 100 breast (1:28:30), 200 breast (3:10:76), 200 IM (2:48:13).

Team RAMAC Races Through HAC/MAC Spring Invitational

April 13-15, 2012.

Congratulations to all our swimmers who competed at the 2012 HAC/MAC Spring Invitational April 13-15! With strong performances across every age group, you should all be very proud!Our 11 & under girls put in a strong effort, with Alina Sharipova finishing third in the 50 Breaststroke and the 100 Fly.

The 12 year old girls rocked the pool with Alexandra Kich-Fitsialos finishing first in the 100 and 200 Fly, second in the 50 Fly, 400 IM and 400 Free, and third in the 50 breast. Special mention to Alexandra for conquering the 1500 free! Sophia Witterick-Laskin pulled out a first in the 50 breaststroke, and four second place finishes – 200 IM, 100 breast, 200 breast and 50 back. Way to go girls!

Our 13 and 14 year-old girls worked very hard, with strong races by Victoriya Kozhemyakina in the 13 year old 100 back and 50 Breaststroke. Tiffany Ursulecu nailed a third place spot in the 14-year old 50 breaststroke.

Not to be outdone, our 11 & under boys showed their stuff, with 11 year old Kristi Grillo snatching 4 first place spots - 50 Fly, 100 Fly, 50 Free and 100 Free - and 3 second place finishes - 50 Breaststroke, 100 IM and 400 Free. Cooper Lochrie was right behind Kristi with second place finishes in the 100 and 200 Backstroke. Tudor Lungu followed with a second place finish in the 100 Breaststroke and a third place finish in the 50 Breaststroke and 800 Free.Yotam Berkovich finished third in the 12 year old boys 200 Fly and 800 Free, and George Mardari swam to a third place spot in the 50 Breastroke.

The 13, 14 and 15 year old men swam confidently, with second place finishes by Nikita Lizogubenko and Constantin Lungu in the 200 IM and 800 Free, and a third place finish by Ivan Sobolev in the 100 Breaststroke. Way to go the distance guys!
